Meat Info

J & K Oliver Farms offers beef that is Piedmontese crossed with Angus, Longhorn and/or Gelbvieh.  Piedmontese carry a double muscle gene which offers beef with less connective tissue, more tenderness and less fat.

On the pork side, they raise Berkshire which is considered a Premium Heritage Breed known for it's dark coloring, and tender, juicy flavor.

All meat sold is bred, born and raised on their farm.

Their cows are rotationally grazed for around 9 months out of the year and the remaining time they are fed a combination of hay and straw.  Minerals are also provided.

The pigs are fed a Non GMO diet of Triticale and Peas with minerals as well.
